1. How long does it take to get my wedding dress?
Most people have no idea that it could take up to 9 months to receive your wedding dress. Then between the fittings and alterations, god knows how long it will take actually to fit into your wedding dress perfectly. The very first question I would ask my wedding dress boutique is how long it takes from the moment I order my dress to the day I can put it on, and it will fit me perfectly.
2. Are alterations included in the price of the dress? If not, how much will it cost me?
You want to know at all times what something is going to cost you all in. You will need to find out the in's and out's of the process to uncover the hidden fees.

3. Are there discounts if I purchase multiple dresses from the same store?
Chances are if you are purchasing your wedding dress, you will be purchasing your bridesmaids' dresses, your mother's dress, mother of the groom's dress, etc. here. Multiple dresses equal big bucks for the store owner; if they want you and your 10 other dress, they might offer you a discount. It can't hurt to ask, right?
4. What other services do you offer?
Sometimes, certain dress shops offer other services you would not think to ask for, such as dress restoration. When my wife and I got married, her wedding dress was placed on a hanger for years. Taking up tons of room, we had no idea what to do with it. After talking to a few of my awesome brides, I found out that you could preserve your wedding dress at the same place we bought it. We did it, and now not only do we have room in our closet, but we now have her wedding dress clean and neatly packaged away. Maybe one day, our daughter can use part of this dress to create her wedding dress.
5. What happens if you order the dress, and they do not deliver?
This is a story I have heard over and over again. Certain dress shops take orders and then forget to order the wedding dress. Creating a problem right out of a horror flick, not having a wedding dress. Scary, I know, but you have to ask the question or no one else well. You want to make sure that you get something in writing that states you will receive your wedding dress no later than a particular date. This gives you the reassurance that you will not only have the wedding dress of your dreams, but you will have it with more than enough time for alterations and ready for the day of your wedding.
