You should never get your images later than 6 weeks after your wedding day.
You want to make sure you get all of your images hi-rez and non-watermarked. This ensures you can print your photos whenever and wherever you like.
This is the biggest day of your life; it's your wedding! You should give your photographer a few photos that you might want to replicate and as much description as possible of the style you want. That being said, as a professional photographer, the more creative freedom you give the photographer(s), the better job they will do.
You want to make sure you are not getting untouched photos. All photos need to be edited in some way, shape, or form; it does not matter how good your photographer is editing is a necessary part of the process. You want to make sure the following edits are done to all of your images.
You want to make sure you are getting images worthy of a professional photographer. There is no point in getting all of your images hi-rez and non- watermarked if you don't want to print them.
This is a tricky question because it almost does not matter how many images they take; what matters is how many you will receive. We will often take 2,000 photos or more on a wedding day, but many of them are doubles or triples of the same picture. Why do we do that? Because sometimes, when we're taking large group shots, someone turns their head, blinks, or talks, making for an amateur looking photo. Having multiples of almost the same image allows us to edit that photo later.
What matters is how many images you will receive; you want anywhere between 700 - 900 photos you are proud of for your wedding album.
This should always be YES!!! This is very important because it allows you to show and share your images with family and friends without showing them individually. It also allows you to access them on your terms and keeps you from losing them in the chaos that commonly follows a marriage. Just so many things are happening now, changing your name (or not), moving, thank you cards, etc.
Your photography studio has to respect your requests, and if you do not want your images to be put on social media or their website, then they must respect that. They are your pictures, not ours! That being said, we would hope you would want your photographer to do such an amazing job that they want to showcase your wedding.
Just like in any industry, things are going to happen. The most important question, and what defines a company, is how your studio responds when things don't go as planned. With us, if a photographer gets sick or injured before your wedding, there will always be a photographer available to shoot your wedding with the same skill as your initial photographer.
