The Somerley at Fox Hollow - Grand Ballroom

The grand ballroom is beautiful, it can host up to 250 guests on your wedding day. I have photographed dozens of beautiful weddings at the Somerley at Fox Hollow and the grand ballroom is perfect for everything from your indoor ceremony, fun bridal party photos, and of course to host your wedding reception.

Lotus Wedding Photography photographs dozens of weddings at The Somerley at Fox Hollow every year. We know all of the best locations to use to take creative wedding photos on your big day. The stone wall is a fantastic feature and is only available to brides getting married at the Somerley.

I prefer to use this location for night time wedding photos, but I have used it for everything from fun bridal party images, and traditional family portraits.

What I love about the stone wall are the LED lights that change color. This makes the wall saturated with a color which in turn gives a pop to your nighttime wedding photos.

I am always looking for new and interesting ways to photograph our couple's room shot at The Somerley. This wall of vines is on the left side of the grand ballroom, it lights up various colors which gives your images a creative feel.

Night-Time Wedding Photos at The Somerley at Fox Hollow

Fox Hollow's nighttime wedding photos are stunning, they are by far the most requested images from our newlyweds. When we photograph your night time photos, I love to use the gate at the front of the venue to create images just like the one you see here.

Day or night, rain or shine, summer or winter, wedding photos at The Somerley at Fox Hollow are beautiful. The gardens at Fox Hollow have everything from winding pathways, large green trees, and stone structures. These are all great locations to use on your big day.

While the Somerley at Fox Hollow has many beautiful outdoor locations to use on your wedding day, they also have great indoor locations to use to create beautiful wedding photos on your big day. This photo was taken inside the Somerleys main entrance way. When we photograph winter weddings I like to use this area to take bridal party photos as well as traditional family portraits.

The room shot is one of our favorite photos to take on your wedding day for a few reasons. One reason is that it allows us to show off your reception details such as your centerpieces, wedding cake, couples dais, floral arrangements, and card boxes all with the bride and groom together in one photo. Another reason is that we usually do a few variations of the room shot, one photo of the couple standing looking at the camera, this is a good photo for your thank you cards, another of the bride and groom kissing, or dipping, or with the veil flowing in the wind.

Our goal is to give you a variety of wedding photos for you to choose from when picking images for your album.

GRAND BALLROOM

When we photograph your wedding reception at The Somerley, we will take a variety of photos.

Detail images of your wedding cake, centerpieces, couples dais, card box, and seating chart all help us tell the story of our couple's wedding day.

Then during your reception, we will take many candid images of your grand entrance, first dance as husband and wife, your best man & maid of honor speeches, cake cutting ceremony, garter & bouquet toss, and parent dances. These are all images you are going to want to include in your wedding album.

STONE WALL

During your reception, we will ask you if you would like to take some creative night time wedding photos. If you do, the stone wall is the first place we will use.

I love how the LED lights light up the stone wall, it lights up various colors that give your nighttime wedding photos at Fox Hollow a creative and different look.

DOOR SHOT

This is by far the most requested wedding photo. It is almost required when getting married at Fox Hollow.

The best part about doing taking some creative night time wedding photos is that it only takes about 10 minutes.

In 10 minutes we are usually able to take 3 or 4 amazing images you are going to want to use for your thank you card or parent albums.

THE GATE

Beautiful wedding photos don't have to take long. When we photograph your beautiful night-time wedding photos at Fox Hollow we prelight everything which means we are fast and efficient so you and your husband can get back to your reception.

INTERIOR WEDDING PHOTOS

While Fox Hollow has many great outdoor locations, they have really beautiful indoor locations to take your fun bridal party photos, formal family portraits as well as creative images of your and your husband on your wedding day.

INDOOR CEREMONY LOCATION

When you choose to host your wedding reception at The Somerley, they transform their grand ballroom into a beautiful ceremony space.

During your ceremony, we will take many candid images of the first time the groom sees his bride-to-be walking down the aisle, your ring exchange ceremony and first kiss as husband and wife.

While all of these images are important, if you choose to add a second wedding photographer, we are now able to take photos of your friends and family as you marry the man of your dreams.

Candid wedding photos like these are why we became Long Island wedding photographers.

BRIDGE & WATER FOUNTAIN

The bridge and fountain are a beautiful location to use on your wedding day at Fox Hollow.

Whether it be creative night time wedding photos, a bride's and groom's first look, silly bridal party images, or just some romantic images of the bride and groom alone, the bridge provides the perfect background for all of your wedding photography needs.

Syosset Woodbury Park is one of our go-to locations when photographing a wedding at Fox Hollow.

It is literally across the street from Fox Hollow. We can walk there.

The Inn at Fox Hollow is the obvious choice of hotels to use when getting married at Fox Hollow.

It is right next door, and is also beautiful.

THE HILTON GARDEN INN - MELVILLE

The Hilton Garden Inn in Melville is just down the road from Fox Hollow. Their bridal suites are beautiful to use for your getting ready wedding photos.
