We are so glad we chose Lotus as our wedding photographer. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and beautiful photos made it so easy to work with them and they captured such amazing memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. We had a wonderful engagement shoot with James, who helped us look natural and have fun throughout, and our happiness shines through in our photos. For our wedding day, we had Vince and James as a team. Vince stuck to me throughout the day and did a great job capturing the candid joy and moments of the day. James took artistic shots and helped coordinate our poses. Both of them played with light, angles and the different areas throughout our venue to create a holistic album of photos and video footage. Overall, the Lotus team was an absolute pleasure to work with and I would recommend them and their talent for any bride!Reena K Facebook
I can’t even put into words how thankful I am to have had Justin and the Lotus Photography team be apart of our special day. From the moment my husband and I met Justin we hit it off. Justin understood our vision, listened and surpassed our expectations. He and his team were professional, timely and always a phone call away. Their creativity and ability to capture some of our most treasured memories was flawless. I can’t express my gratitude enough. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to capture their beautiful moments with a professional team. -Jenna & Mike B.Jenna B The Knot
Lotus is the most amazing photographers and talent videographers we have ever met. Justin and his crew are amazing. Photos are usually a bit exhausting but we might have to say we had just as much if not more fun with these guys than our guest! They made our rainy wedding day the brightest and most beautiful journey we could ask for. If you are wise book them! We hope to make more memories and explore new life steps just so that we can hire them and see them again! We love love love them. Five stars is not enoughDominique Cecilia Facebook
This gallery of images was taken at The Hempstead House in Sands Point.
We started the day by photographing the bride's details.
Images of the wedding invitation, engagement ring, wedding bands, shoes, wedding dress, and bridal bouquet tell our couple's story.
When choosing photos for your wedding album, these are the first image selected because they set the tone for what is to come.
After we photographed the bride's details, we moved on to photograph her "getting ready" section of the day.
I always try to take an image of the bride having her bridal makeup applied, the bride's mother helping her zip up the back of her wedding dress, and the maid of honor placing the bride's veil.
These are great images to include in your wedding gallery.
When we photograph your first look, I like to use the rose garden at The Hempstead house.
A first look is when the bride and groom see each other before their ceremony.
Some couples choose to do this to take all of their fun bridal family photos, romantic images of the bride and groom together, and family photos before their ceremony.
This way, after the ceremony, we will take nothing but candid photos.
When you book Lotus Wedding Photography to photograph your wedding, you get the photographer for up to 10 hours. But that does not mean this should be a 10-hour photoshoot.
We want to take beautiful images of your family, your bridal party, and you and your husband.
Then take nothing but candid images. This way, you get all the pretty photos you want, but you get to enjoy your wedding day too.
The Hempstead House has many great locations to take beautiful wedding photos on your big day.
From open areas to the mansion itself, in every direction you look, there is a stunning backdrop.
Notice that in most of the images in this gallery from the Hempstead House, the bride and groom look relaxed and casual.
If you hire us to photograph your wedding, we will take photos just like this for you on your wedding day.
I always start our bridal party photos by taking a traditional image of the bride, with each of her bridesmaids looking at the camera. I will do the same for the groom and each of his groomsmen.
But after that, I want you and your bridal party to relax and have fun. Fun bridal party photos like these are the images most chosen for our couple's albums and parent albums.
A month prior to your wedding day, we will have you and your fiancé come into our office to put together a timeline of your big day.
One of the things we will cover is when and where we will photograph your traditional family photos.
We provide all of our main photographers with an assistant so as we are taking your family photos we are checking off all of the combinations of various groupings that are important to you.
With a veil like this, you can't help but want to take a few dramatic photos of the bride.
This photo was taken on the second floor of the Hempstead House.
The three walls of floor-to-ceiling windows provided the perfect backdrop to use to take this dramatic portrait of you on your wedding day.
The staircase at The Hempstead House is a great location to take a few photos of you and your husband on your wedding day.
The stone walls, iron chandelier, and oak banister are features we will accent in images.
When taking photos of the groom and his groomsmen, we want them to relax and enjoy themselves.
Of course, we will take a traditional image of the groom with each of his groomsmen looking at the camera.
But the pictures often printed and added to wedding albums are photos like this.
Your ceremony will be full of beautiful moments that we would love to photograph for you.
This is a photo of the bride's father kissing his daughter just after walking her down the aisle.
Emotional images like this are why I became a Long Island wedding photographer.
After your ceremony, you and your guests will enjoy your cocktail hour.
Our team of photographers will be in your grand ballroom, photographing all of the details.
We will take images of your wedding cake, centerpieces, card box, table settings, guest seating chart, and floral arrangements.
These images will make a beautiful spread in your wedding album.
Your reception will be full of beautiful moments that I would love to photograph for you.
When photographing a reception, I take an unobtrusive approach to capture all of the emotion that comes with moments like the bride's and groom's first dance or your parent dances.
I love to take creative night-time wedding photos with my couples.
These images only take a few minutes to photograph but add a completely different look to your wedding gallery.
This is another topic we will discuss during your final appointment before your wedding day.
If you want us to take some beautiful nighttime wedding photos, we will schedule about 10 minutes of your reception to go outside and take these images for you.
